Check the hose specification

Compare the required internal diameter, outside diameter where relevant and supplied length. Check the maker’s stated fuel compatibility and pressure suitability for the actual application. A hose described for general fuel use should not be assumed suitable for a fuel-injection system.

Match the connections too

Can any fuel hose be used with fuel injection?

No. Choose only hose explicitly specified for the system’s requirements, including pressure and fuel compatibility. Some fuel hose is restricted to gravity-fed or low-pressure applications.

Does the hose colour tell me what fuel it suits?

Use the written specification. Colour alone does not confirm the material, fuel compatibility or pressure suitability of a hose.

Is fuel line priced by the metre or by the pack?

Read the stated supply length and selling unit for the item. Confirm what one order quantity supplies before calculating how much you need.

Will any connector fit a hose with the same nominal diameter?

Check the connector specification as well as the hose size. Confirm its connection type, dimensions and system suitability; a shared nominal diameter is not a complete match.
