Match the module to the ignition system

Use the complete model, year and variant together with the reference on the existing unit. A CDI must suit the engine and its ignition system, including the specified power supply and signal inputs. A similar case or connector is not enough to establish a replacement.

Compare stated features and requirements

Read what the exact module is designed to do and which accompanying components it requires. Keep replacement needs separate from any optional tuning features; a range name does not establish adjustability or a particular performance change. Browse ignition to compare the other component groups.

Is a CDI box universal if the plug matches?

No. The engine’s ignition characteristics and the electrical system also need to match. Use the manufacturer’s stated application rather than selecting a module by connector shape or pin count alone.

Does an ignition module come with a coil?

Check the supplied-parts list for the exact reference. A module listing does not establish that a coil is included. Where a coil is needed separately, browse ignition coils and confirm the required combination.

What if an aftermarket ignition is already fitted?

Identify the make and reference of the fitted system before choosing another module. Establish which components the new module requires or retains; the original vehicle model cannot resolve an altered system on its own.

Are plug leads and caps included with a CDI box?

Only if they are expressly listed in its contents. Browse plug leads and caps for those components and match their specified connections and application separately.
