A complete unit or parts for the existing one?
Browse complete carburettors if you need a whole unit. For work on the existing carburettor, compare carburettor rebuild kits and carburettor parts. A kit name does not establish its contents, so compare the supplied parts with the work planned.
For jets, use carburettor jets, with separate categories for main jets, pilot jets and jet kits.
Identify the carburettor already fitted
Keep the vehicle make, full model and year to hand, together with the carburettor make and reference where identifiable. Read the exact application notes. If the carburettor has been replaced, the vehicle’s original details may not identify the parts inside it.
Does a complete carburettor include all the fitting parts?
Check the supplied-parts description for the exact unit. If you need cables, adaptors, seals or other fittings, confirm whether they are included and whether the stated connections suit your setup. The word complete does not describe every accessory needed for every installation.
Can I choose a jet size from the engine capacity?
Engine capacity alone does not specify a jet. Match the jet series and reference to the carburettor, then use the carburettor or engine maker’s guidance for the actual setup.
Do I need to check a rebuild kit against the carburettor too?
Yes. Confirm the listed carburettor application as well as the vehicle, and check which components the kit supplies. A kit for one carburettor version should not be assumed to cover another version fitted to the same model.
Compare the complete model, year and part number before choosing a part.
