Start with the right electrical system
Use alternators and parts for stators and regulator/rectifier options, ignition for ignition components, and starter motors and parts for starting components. The Browse categories menu also separates lights, switches and wiring, helping you narrow the range by the part’s job.
Build a useful replacement reference
Keep the full model, year and variant together with any number on the existing component. Compare the manufacturer’s application, electrical specification, connector arrangement and mounting details. If the vehicle’s wiring or equipment has changed, identify what is fitted now before selecting by the original vehicle alone.
Does a matching connector prove an electrical part will fit?
No. The connector is one comparison point, alongside the component reference, application and electrical specification. Similar housings do not establish that two parts perform the same job or connect in the same way.
What does universal mean on an electrical accessory?
Use the accessory’s stated requirements to judge the installation. Check its voltage, electrical rating, connections and mounting requirements where specified; the word universal does not establish suitability for every quad or circuit.
What information helps if I cannot identify the part?
Record the vehicle’s full details, any part numbers and the component’s location. Clear photographs of its label, connector and mounting points can help explain the enquiry, but should be used with the reference and application rather than as proof of compatibility.
Does the category include complete electrical systems?
Treat each listing as the component or kit it describes. Check supplied contents and any separately required parts; browsing all electrical parts together does not mean they form one matched system or a complete vehicle wiring package.
Compare the complete model, year and part number before choosing a part.
