Identify the circuit and the harness coverage

Establish whether you need an ignition-switch lead, a charging-system connector, an accessory harness or another named connection. A replacement harness may cover one component rather than the whole vehicle. Check the stated purpose and supplied contents before comparing it with a complete loom.

Match more than the plug's appearance

Compare the connector type, terminal arrangement, lead length and any stated wire-size or electrical-rating requirements. Use the vehicle's wiring information and the harness manufacturer's specification to establish compatibility. If the connected component is also needed, browse switches and housings or the wider electrical parts category separately.

What is a pigtail harness?

It is a short section of wiring with a connector for a particular connection. It should be selected by its intended circuit and application; the word pigtail does not mean it replaces the complete vehicle loom.

Are matching wire colours enough to choose a replacement?

No. Confirm the specified circuit, terminal arrangement and vehicle application. Colour can help describe the existing wiring, but it is not sufficient evidence that two harnesses connect the same functions.

Does a connector kit include everything needed for the repair?

Check which housings, terminals, seals and lengths of wire are expressly supplied. Identify any additional items from the requirements for the job. Browse other electrical parts for separately listed fuses and sockets.

Will an accessory harness fit any accessory with the same plug?

A similar plug is only one detail. Check the named accessory or system, electrical specification and supported vehicle application. If those are not stated, confirm them before selecting the harness.

Compare the complete model, year and part number before choosing a part.
