Identify what secures the seat

Record the part’s location and how it connects the seat to the vehicle. Use the vehicle parts diagram or the seat manufacturer’s information to identify the component and reference. Keep this separate from the cushion and outer cover, which serve different parts of the seat assembly.

Check the complete attachment arrangement

Compare the replacement’s stated application, mounting points and supplied contents with the fitted seat. If the seat has been changed, identify its mounting arrangement too. Seats and seat foam and seat covers cover other seat components; seats and parts is the parent category.

Can I choose a seat mount by vehicle model alone?

Use the full model, year and variant, then confirm the component’s position and part reference. An aftermarket seat or changed mounting arrangement may need different identification from the original seat.

Are mounting parts supplied with a new seat?

Check the particular seat’s stated contents. A seat, foam or cover listing does not by itself establish that the attachment parts are included.

Will matching fixing holes prove a mount is suitable?

No. Compare the stated application and complete attachment arrangement as well. Similar hole positions do not establish that the part is intended for that seat or fixing position.

What if I cannot find a matching seat mount?

Keep the vehicle details, seat reference and a photograph of the attachment area ready for an enquiry. Confirm the intended part before substituting a general bracket or fastener.

Compare the complete model, year and part number before choosing a part.
