Find shock mounting and service parts, including bearing kits and bushes. Identify the shock and the exact mounting position before comparing replacements; an upper or lower mounting kit is different from a complete shock unit.

Identify the mounting point
Check whether the part is for the front or rear shock and its upper or lower mount. Keep the full vehicle details and shock reference with any number on the old component. Where the shock has been changed, check the parts specified for that fitted unit before relying on the vehicle application alone.
Separate mounting parts from other shock components
Read the kit description for its intended position, components and quantity. A bearing or bush kit does not establish that internal damper parts are included. If you need another part of the assembly, compare shock absorbers, shock springs or return to suspension to choose the correct group.
Does one bearing kit cover both shock mounts?
Check the stated coverage. Upper and lower positions may have separate references, and a kit title alone does not establish that both mounts or both sides of the vehicle are covered.
Is a shock bush the same item as a shock bearing kit?
Treat them as distinct item descriptions until the listed components and application confirm what is required. Compare the reference and mounting position, then check whether the item is a single component or a kit.
Will a mounting kit rebuild the inside of the shock?
A mounting kit should be assessed for the mounting components it lists. Do not assume it includes internal damper seals or other rebuild parts; identify the repair required and the exact kit contents before ordering.
What information helps identify parts for an aftermarket shock?
Record its manufacturer, model or part number and mounting position, alongside the vehicle details. Clear photographs of the label and mounting arrangement can support the enquiry, but a visual match does not establish compatibility.
Compare the complete model, year and part number before choosing a part.
