Front/Rear Linear Rate Shock Spring Polaris HAWKEYE 400 HO 2x4 Sportsman
Match the spring to the shock that is fitted
Record the vehicle’s full model and year together with the shock manufacturer and any reference on the existing spring. Check the stated spring specification and front or rear application. If the shock has been replaced, the original vehicle details alone are not enough to identify a compatible spring.
Check what the item actually replaces
A spring, spring wedge and complete shock are different items. Read the item description and quantity rather than judging by the category name or photograph. For other parts of the assembly, use shock absorbers or shock parts; the wider suspension range separates other component groups.
Is a spring wedge a replacement spring?
No. A wedge is a separate spring accessory. Check the exact item type and its stated application so that you do not order an accessory when you need a replacement spring.
Does a front/rear label mean the spring fits any position?
Use the full application notes to establish the intended position on your model. A front/rear label does not establish that the spring suits both ends of every vehicle mentioned in a shortened title.
Can I choose a spring by its colour or shape?
Use the manufacturer’s reference and specification to identify it. Colour and appearance can help describe an existing spring, but neither establishes the required application or spring specification.
Are springs supplied as a pair?
Check the listing’s supplied quantity. Do not infer a pair, a full vehicle set or included mounting parts from a photograph or from the fact that the vehicle has more than one shock.
Compare the complete model, year and part number before choosing a part.
