Quad bike engine performance kits
Choose an engine performance kit around a defined build and the manufacturer's requirements for that exact kit. Check the engine application, intended specification and supplied parts, along with any supporting changes needed before it can be used.

Compare the kit with the intended build
Record the engine's current specification and the result you are planning with your engine builder. Where a listing gives bore, compression or cam specifications, compare those details with the complete build. The category name alone does not establish a power increase or suitability for every use.
Confirm the requirements before ordering
Read the exact kit's application notes, supplied-parts list and manufacturer instructions. Check whether any machining, fuel-system adjustment or additional components are specified. If the requirements are unclear, establish them before purchasing the kit and associated parts.
Will a performance kit fit an otherwise standard engine?
Check the manufacturer's stated requirements for that reference. A model match does not establish that the kit can be used with every original component or without further work. Include any previous engine changes when checking suitability.
Does the kit include everything needed to complete the build?
Use the supplied-parts list to confirm this. Account separately for any required piston components, gaskets, seals or supporting parts that are not listed. Avoid assuming that “kit” means every item needed for installation is included.
What power gain should I expect?
Use manufacturer evidence for the exact kit and engine configuration. A result quoted for a different combination of parts or test conditions does not establish the outcome for your engine. If no relevant figure is supplied, treat the gain as unconfirmed.
Where can I find related engine and fuel parts?
Browse pistons and rings, cylinders and parts, valves and cams and gaskets and seals. Air & Fuel covers the related fuel and intake categories. Choose additional parts from the kit's requirements, checking each application separately.
Compare the complete model, year and part number before choosing a part.
