Quad bike engine rebuild kits

Choose an engine rebuild kit by the work planned, the engine's current specification and the parts actually included. Model and year help narrow the choice, but a kit name alone does not establish which pistons, bearings, gaskets or seals it supplies.

Compare the kit with your parts list

Start with the components your engine builder has identified for replacement. Compare that list with the contents of the exact kit reference, including quantities and any stated sizes. A top-end, bottom-end or complete-kit description needs its own contents check; do not assume the names cover the same parts across different manufacturers.

Check the engine's current specification

Have the full model, year, engine capacity and any engine identification details to hand. If the engine has been replaced or rebuilt, confirm its current specification before relying on the original vehicle details. Where a kit offers piston sizes or grades, agree the correct option with your engine builder before ordering.

Does a rebuild kit include every part for the job?

Only its stated contents establish what is supplied. Check separately for any required bearings, seals, gaskets and fasteners, and compare the quantities with the work planned. If the contents are unclear, confirm them before ordering rather than filling the gaps from a photograph.

Can I choose a kit using the vehicle filter alone?

The filter uses supplier-listed applications to narrow the range. Check the exact model, year and application notes, then match any size options to the engine being rebuilt. It cannot identify modifications or previous machining from the vehicle name.

Should I order a piston size before the cylinder is checked?

Have the cylinder's condition and measurements confirmed first where piston size is a choice. Use the kit manufacturer's requirements and your engine builder's measurements to select the option; engine capacity alone does not establish the required piston size.

Where can I find parts that are not included?

Browse pistons and rings, crankshafts and connecting rods, engine bearings or gaskets and seals. Check each additional part against its own application and the kit contents to avoid ordering the same component twice.

Compare the complete model, year and part number before choosing a part.
