Decide between a lamp, bulb and harness

A complete lamp, a replacement bulb and a wiring harness serve different buying needs. Browse headlights or tail lights for lamp units, and bulbs when the fitted lamp uses a replaceable bulb. Establish the required component before comparing prices or appearance.

Match the fitted lighting arrangement

For a lamp, compare its stated position, mounting and connector with the vehicle’s full model, year and variant. For a bulb, match the type, base, voltage and wattage specified for that lamp. For a harness, confirm the intended lights and connections; a matching vehicle brand alone is insufficient.

Can I choose a light just by its shape?

Use the manufacturer’s reference and application details as well as the physical shape. Similar housings can have different mountings, connectors or functions, so check those details before ordering.

Are LED and halogen lights interchangeable?

Do not assume so from the lighting technology or category label. Select a unit specified for the vehicle and fitted lighting arrangement, or obtain the manufacturer’s confirmation for a proposed change.

Does a lamp unit include its bulb and wiring?

Check the supplied-parts list for the exact reference. Establish whether the bulb, harness, brackets and other items needed for the job are included or must be sourced separately.

How do I choose a front, rear or indicator light?

Identify the function and position first, including any left- or right-hand designation. Then compare the exact application and connections. A tail light, headlight and indicator should not be treated as alternatives because they share a connector or housing style.

Compare the complete model, year and part number before choosing a part.
