2-stroke engine oil for quad bikes

Choose 2-stroke engine oil for the lubrication system fitted to your quad. Confirm whether the engine uses premixed fuel or oil injection, then match the oil's stated use and specification to the engine manufacturer's requirements.

Check premix or oil-injection suitability

Read the exact oil's technical information for the lubrication method it supports. A 2-stroke label alone does not confirm suitability for an oil-injection system. If your engine has been modified, use the requirements of the system now fitted as well as the original vehicle details.

Compare the specification and quantity

Match the manufacturer's required oil specification before comparing container sizes. Check the volume supplied per order unit and plan the quantity using the engine's requirements. Browse the wider oils category if you are also buying a separate lubricant for another service task.

What premix ratio should I use?

Use the engine manufacturer's specified ratio together with the instructions for the exact oil. Do not choose a ratio from the container size or copy one from a different engine. Resolve any conflicting instructions before buying or mixing the oil.

Can any 2-stroke oil go in an oil-injection tank?

Confirm that the oil explicitly supports oil injection and meets the engine's requirements. Suitability for premixing with fuel does not by itself establish suitability for the injection system. Check the full technical description rather than relying on the front label.

Is 2-stroke engine oil also the gearbox oil?

Check the gearbox's separate lubrication requirement in the vehicle manual. A 2-stroke engine-oil listing does not establish gearbox suitability. Browse transmission oil when the gearbox calls for a separately specified lubricant, and match that specification independently.

What if my quad has a 4-stroke engine?

Start with 4-stroke engine oil and match the grade and specification required by that engine. Confirm the engine type from the vehicle documentation if you are unsure; the engine capacity or oil brand alone will not identify the correct oil category.
